Not Just a Tree

Screen Printing Exploring Biodiversity
Artist Statement: This piece highlights the biodiversity that can be sustained by trees in the rain forest. Habitat destruction is one of the main threats to biodiversity, so this piece shows some of the animals that would be affected if this tree was cut down to make lumber or paper.

About Rachel

Having been in the Seattle Aquarium high school volunteer program, conservation is one of my greatest passions. I enjoy crafts and video editing, so I participated in the screen printing and videography projects to learn how I can combine my knowledge of conservation with my love of art.
