The Seattle Aquarium is a wealth of undersea information for educators, kids, parents and visitors. Here's your chance to get face-to-fin with marine life. Through specialized teacher programs, field trip opportunities, events and other marine resources, everyone can learn to share the knowledge and encourage the protection of the Sound that surrounds us all.

| Sound Conversations
Join us in the Puget Sound Great Hall at the Aquarium three evenings this spring for insights into the health of the world’s ocean and marine life. Join the dialogue as local and international experts converse with Jeff Renner about the challenges faced by marine creatures and opportunities to heal and conserve Puget Sound now and for generations to come. A reception with light refreshments will precede the program.
March 4: Philippe Cousteau Continuing a Legacy: Conservation Education for the 21st Century As a member of the legendary Cousteau family, Philippe is continuing the work of his father and grandfather through EarthEcho International; he is co-founder of Azure Worldwide; the Chief Spokesperson for Environmental Education for Discovery Education and has also worked with Animal Planet on various ocean and water-focused documentary programs.
April 1: Dr. Brady Barr Octopus, Squid and Sharks – Oh My! National Geographic Channel reptile expert Dr. Brady Barr is the first scientist ever to capture and study all 23 species of crocodilians in the wild. Dr. Barr has also participated in other research projects with leading scientists throughout the world. The Seattle Aquarium has worked with Dr. Barr in support of his show “Dangerous Encounters” on episodes about Sixgill sharks, and Humboldt Squid and Giant Pacific Octopus.
May 6: Dr. Rick Keil Spicing Up the Waterways of Puget Sound Dr. Keil is an Associate Professor at the School of Oceanography, University of Washington. He and his team of undergraduate researchers formed the nonprofit program SoundCitizen in late 2008 to help bring citizens into active research on the connections between urban watersheds and Puget Sound. Dr. Keil will discuss how by tracking cooking spices and emerging pollutants from households to Puget Sound, we can better understand how our daily lives and activities affect our local waterways.

Toddler Time
February 8, 9 March 1, 2, 8, 9 Hey Tots – hop in your stroller (or walk like a big kid) and bring your adult to Toddler Time on selected Mondays and Tuesdays, October through March. Come on up to the classroom for this drop-in program with activity stations, storytelling, songs and games. And for a special treat on Toddler Time Tuesdays - the 12:15 Window on Washington Waters Dive Show will be geared towards you! Toddler Time is designed for children age 5 and younger accompanied by an adult. Cost: Included with Aquarium admission. Drop-in program, no registration needed. 9:30am – 12:00pm
