Splash!2013 Silent Auction

New! This year all silent auction bidding will be done via mobile devices.

Splash!2013 has partnered with GiveSmart to offer silent auction bidding at this year’s event. The instructions below provide all the information you’ll need before Splash! on June 7. You can register your phone at the event or, if you like, pre-register it anytime in advance.

TOP PRIORITY: Register your cell phone

To place bids on auction items or to make a donation, follow the directions below after registering with a GiveSmart staff member in red. GiveSmart staff members will be present at Splash! to be your “Personal Shoppers” if you prefer not to bid via your cell phone. If you have a smartphone: Just click on the blue link in your welcome text message and it will take you to your personal bidding page. Click on an item you like and place your bid right there.

No smartphone? No problem! Bid by text, it's easy!

To see the current high bid on an item press reply to your welcome text and simply text the item number. Example: “102” then press send. To place a bid by text on an auction item: Simply text the item number and the amount you would like to bid. No dollar sign ($) needed. Example: “102 300” then press send. You just bid on item number 102 at $300.

How to give a direct donation to the Seattle Aquarium:

Simply click the donate button “$” on your smartphone or text “Give” and amount. No dollar sign ($) needed. Example: “Give 100” then press send. You just donated $100. Max bid: Simply enter the highest price you are willing to bid for the item and the GiveSmart system will automatically bid for you up to that maximum amount. Continue using the same thread of text messages during the event. You will receive outbid notifications throughout. Need help? Find a GiveSmart staff member in red!
