School Programs

PreK–Kindergarten

Introductory marine science programs for kindergartens, preschools, Head Start classes, daycare centers, neighborhood co-ops and other groups of young children.

Sea Stars, Urchins & Friends: Ages 2–6

Children meet live Puget Sound seashore animals and learn all about them. Activities include flannel board games, and songs.

Science standards that apply: K-1 APPC, K-1 LS1B, K-1 LS1D, K-1 LSIE, K-1 LS2B, K-1 LS2C, K-1 LS3A, K-1 LS3B.


 

The Salmon Story: Ages 4–6

Children learn about the life of salmon, from egg to adult. Enriching activities include magnet board games, role-playing the salmon life cycle and a Native American story.

Science standards that apply: K-1 APPC, K-1 LS1B, K-1 LS1D, K-1 LSIE, K-1 LS2B, K-1 LS2C, K-1 LS3A, K-1 LS3B.

Students and chaperones: $9 admission
Ages 3 and under: free admission

Class Times

10am, 11:15am, 12:30pm and 1:45pm
