Develop leadership skills and further your knowledge of career options in the expansive field of marine science. Learn about the paths taken by popular sea science icons as they went from students to legends. Each day, you’ll meet someone who has successfully advanced in their marine career aspirations. We’ll also focus on industry role models and chart their impacts on ocean research, education and conservation. Plus, take a tour of a local university and see the array of options available as you pursue your passion.

Unexplored Ocean—Young Women in Marine Science - SOLD OUT

For girls entering grades 7-8 Fall 2013

Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm
$370; Aquarium members $335
A girls-only camp designed to provide insight into the latest research in marine science exploration. Throughout the week you’ll engage in team-building activities with marine science technology and underwater exploration tools. Develop a greater understanding of the microscopic world of water and learn more about larger-than-life phenomenons in the abyss. Track the flow of the ocean’s currents to discover where they go and what they bring to the paths they forge. Plus, enjoy excursions throughout the week—to the Oceanography & Fisheries department at a local university and Elliott Bay for kayaking.
