For youth ages 13–16 years. No age exceptions due to Coast Guard regulations. August 11–15 Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 9am–4pm: Seattle Aquarium Wednesday, 9am–overnight: Seattle Aquarium, then boat trip to Blake Island Thursday: wake up at Blake Island and voyage to Seattle Aquarium. Camp ends at 4pm. $475; Aquarium and Center for Wooden Boats members $425
Explore our local waterways by leading your own voyage. Join sailing and science instructors from the Center for Wooden Boats and the Seattle Aquarium and travel by a 26-foot rowing and sailing longboat like those used by explorers Cook and Vancouver. Chart your course across Puget Sound, conduct science experiments at sea, and present your research. Develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills while having fun and gaining ability in field observations, sailing, rowing and navigation.
Camp takes place at the Seattle Aquarium and Blake Island for one overnight.
Extended morning care is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8–9am for $56/week or $14/day. Extended afternoon care is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 4–5:30pm for $56/week or $14/day. All extended care for camp takes place at the Seattle Aquarium.
