Basking Shark Encounter

The topic for acrylic was endangered species so I chose to do a piece of a basking shark to pay homage to them. Back in the 1950s, fishermen slaughtered these harmless sharks because they got in the way of fishing nets; now we owe these beautiful sharks our protection after almost eliminating them in the Washington area.

About Seanna

I have been painting for a few years now, really enjoy doing paintings of marine life and I hope that my work inspires love for these creatures that will help them to be protected in the future. Conservation is important to me because marine biology is what I love most in this world.
