Lightning Talks: Creatures of the Deep
Where Virtual streaming on YouTube
When February 17, 2022 at 6pm PST
Join us for this season's second installment of our virtual Lightning Talks series, this time focusing on creatures of the deep. Five speakers will have five minutes each to talk about this amazing and mysterious place. They’ll share what we’re learning from the research taking place there and the animals that live in the depths.
Topics range from research and exploration to imagination and the creatures themselves, with five experts sharing for five minutes each: Kakani Katija of (MBARI) Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Brian Kennedy of Boston University, Craig Smith of University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Rebecca Helm of University of North Carolina Asheville, and Paul Clarkson of Monterey Bay Aquarium.
After the formal presentations, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions during our lively Q&A session. We look forward to “seeing” you there!
