WHEN: Reopening will be Tuesday, February 9 with media opportunities scheduled by appointment. The Aquarium will be open from 9:30am to 6pm seven days a week. Visitors will be required to purchase timed tickets in advance using plan-ahead pricing, allowing them to choose the best time to visit depending on their budget and schedule, at SeattleAquarium.org/tickets.
WHERE: The Aquarium is located at 1483 Alaskan Way on Pier 59. Vouchers for up to three hours of free parking in the Pike Place Market garage are available upon request when entering the Seattle Aquarium.
To keep visitors, employees, volunteers and animals safe, the Aquarium will be open at 15% capacity and will follow state regulations related to indoor spaces for phase 2 of the Healthy Washington reopening plan. Once they arrive, visitors will find a one-way path and open-airflow, providing ventilation throughout the exhibits. The Aquarium will be utilizing new bipolar ionization air-handling systems and will continue enhanced cleaning protocols.
