On October 15, you helped raise more than $146,000 to help us continue building an ocean ethic in our community and beyond.
Jim Wharton, the Aquarium’s director of conservation engagement and learning, set the tone for the morning by reminding us that we are “one planet, one people and one ocean, with one optimistic future.”
Keynote speaker Dr. Jackie Ogden shared her thoughts on mobilizing aquarium and zoo audiences to take meaningful action for conservation, saying, “Individually, you are one drop. Collectively, we are an ocean,” and provided a road map for creating a successful movement. As she said, “Many people think that conservation is going to be solved by someone else. It can only be solved by all of us together.”
If you were unable to attend, there’s still an opportunity to take action.
