Join us for this season's third installment in our virtual Lightning Talks series, this time focusing on birds. Five speakers will have five minutes each to talk about the many unique diving and shorebirds living in our backyard and how they’re coping with the impact of climate change and pollution.
Explore the wonders of the natural word with us! Our community nature walk will be led by an Indigenous educator from the Salish Sea region, who will tell stories, share traditional teachings and spark conversation about the land and animals. You may also try some traditional, seasonal food and beverages.
Stroll along almost any local beach during low tide and you’ll see that the shore is alive!
Plus, in late spring and summer, not only will you witness Puget Sound’s multitude of marine plants and animals, but you’ll also see beach naturalists: advocates for these living wonders sharing their knowledge with beachgoers.
