The Seattle Aquarium is excited to share that April Henderson, CPA, has accepted a full-time position as Vice President of Finance, following nearly a year of exceptional leadership in the interim role.
“I’m thrilled to continue my work at the Seattle Aquarium in this role,” Henderson says. “I’m so passionate about our mission of Inspiring Conservation of our Marine Environment and am deeply invested in sharing that passion and joy with the thousands of guests visiting our campus daily.”
April brings 12 years of experience in the Aquarium’s Finance department. Throughout her tenure, April repeatedly stepped into an Interim VP role, most recently leading the department since February.
Before joining the Aquarium full-time, April worked as an auditor, with the Aquarium as one of her clients. Her familiarity with the organization, coupled with her strong technical expertise, makes her a trusted and respected voice across all departments.
