Dive into our programs
Opportunities for the community at large: meet us on a local shoreline, volunteer with us or enroll your children in our popular marine summer camps!

SEA you at the waterfront!
Join Seattle Aquarium staff for free public programming on the waterfront this summer! These drop-in programs will explore art, science, self-reflection and connection. We’ll gather on Pier 62 (just north of the Aquarium’s Pier 60 building) and on the Ocean Pavilion’s rooftop.

Cedar River Salmon Journey
Join volunteer naturalists at the Ballard Locks July through August, and again along the Cedar River in October, to see salmon! Learn about our local salmon, the challenges they face and how you can help keep these special creatures coming back to the river where they were born.

Marine Summer Camp
We are excited to invite campers to explore the aquatic world with us here during the summer. Each week, campers will participate in fun games and activities, get to know the animals that call the Aquarium home and learn how to protect our one world ocean.

Youth Ocean Advocates
We’re looking for passionate young people who have an interest in learning about the ocean and will work to inspire others to take conservation action.
Youth Ocean Advocates use their time, talents, and passion to conserve our marine environment.

Beach Naturalist
Stroll along almost any local beach during low tide and you’ll see that the shore is alive! Explore local beaches with Seattle Aquarium beach naturalists and discover fascinating creatures. This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in program—no registration necessary!

Toddler Time
This drop-in program is free with Aquarium admission and offers a variety of learner-centered, developmentally age-appropriate, hands-on activities for young children. Toddler Time is hosted on select Sundays and Mondays, for children ages 5 and under and their parents/caregivers.

Community Partner Connections Program
The Seattle Aquarium aims to be inclusive and welcoming to all, and believes that our audience should reflect the diversity of our region. Toward that end, the Seattle Aquarium Connections program provides complimentary admission tickets and discounted memberships through community partner organizations.
The goal of the Seattle Aquarium Connections program is to provide opportunities to experience the Aquarium to those in our community who might otherwise experience barriers to engaging with us. To support our mission of Inspiring Conservation of Our Marine Environment, we hope to create authentic, mutually beneficial relationships that build trust between the Aquarium and our partner communities and provide quality, culturally relevant marine conservation educational experiences to all.
